LHH is working with a Chicago-based Financial Services company that is looking to hire an Information Security Specialist to join our staff for a 1 year project. The role will require 100% onsite at our Chicago Loop office.
Candidates MUST be local to Chicago or can easily relocate. Client looking to have people start in early January 2025.
Job Details: The position is for a special project in the Security Operations department and falls under the Information Technology category. It is a remote role requiring skills in HELP DESK, PROBLEM SOLVING, and MICROSOFT OFFICE, with additional skills in NOVELL, UNIX, INFORMATION SECURITY, and USER ACCESS
- Responsibilities and Skills: Responsibilities include validating and processing security issues, resolving special requests, developing remediation actions, and maintaining documentation and training platforms. Required skills include knowledge of Confluence and Jira, IT security, application development, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Technical Skills Desired:
- Service Now, Confluence, Jira, SQL, Application Development Practices, JavaScript
Education and Compensation: The role requires a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience in IT security or related fields.
Skills: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of tools used for supporting of documentation utilized by the remediation team such as Confluence and Jira.
- Working knowledge of IT security, IT infrastructure. Strong knowledge of application development process and procedure.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and consultative skills to work effectively with internal business partners and IT staff.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to make independent judgements and make sound business decisions.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software systems.
- Ability to lead train users in new procedures and processes being utilized for managing of security issues.
